I know India is a bit further east than most countries discussed here but hoping that some have traveled there. I am traveling to India for 12 days in January. I land in Delhi and leave from Cochin. I plan to utilize the train network as much as possible. Has anyone had experience with the Indrail pass? It isn't sold in the US to my knowledge, seat61.com recommended buying in the UK or waiting until in India. I would rather get it (and my major train reservations set) before leaving the US if possible. Any tips are welcome

Lonely Planet has an excellent trip forum as well. My friend just returned from traveling India for 2 months and used that website to help her plan. Good luck!
