We will be picking up a car at Frankfurt Airport, driving to Dresden, and then take the train to Prague for a 3 night stay. Any suggestions on a safe and secure parking location in Dresden? We are only considering this plan due to car rental restrictions for the Czech Republic and we want the car for the remaining 1 1/2 weeks of our trip. Any other suggestions?

You might check with your car rental agency if you could leave the car with their Dresden branch. I am dropping off my rental car in Dresden, and most agencies have several locations.

Just to let you know the trains that go to Prague are older and not as nice as most Europeon trains. That being said the train was still OK. Don't waste your time eating on the train, terrible food. Also if you are taking a night train the Czech's will knock on your door at 4am to check your passport.

Why not just TRAIN from Frankfurt to Dresden to Prague and then pick up your rental car after you finish in the Czech?
