I am trying to go from the Neuschwanstein Castle to Vienna, Austria, then onto Krakow (to get to Auschwitz). I am trying to figure out the quickest way to do this (I will have a global train pass). How long do you think it will take to go from Neuschwanstein to Vienna, from Vienna to Krakow?

Neuschwenstein is overrated. consider doing Munich and Dachau. then the Bavarian alps of Berchestgaden and 12 kilometers north is Salzberg. Berchestgaden has Eagles Nest, Hitlers Documentation (Museum)Konigsee and Watzmann Mtn. Then off to Wien/Vienna and Krakow.
I think Neuschwanstein and the whole Bavarian area is very nice. We did the drive all around and went thru Linderhoff too---it's really nice (don't miss the grotto that Ludwig viewed operas with his dates).
