This enterprise is run by young collegians or college grads who plan to earn money thru tips ... the question is, will they be operating in April? They don't run tours in the "off season" so you'd have to try to get an answer ASAP, before they close down for the Fall/Winter. John, whether they are "good" depends on what you want ... what they give you is a good, fast orientation tour in a morning (I think from 9 - 11 or noon), walking around, pointing out landmarks. They're not licensed guides, so they cannot take you up on the Acropolis & explain, or into a museum or the Ancient Agora, etc. They'll walk by, point to stuff, and you can decide about going back later. This would work if you have a couple of days... so you could go back. Keep in mind that in April, places are not on "summer" schedule so many ancient sites close at 3 pm. If you have at least 2 days, you might plan this way: free tour AM of day 1, then in aft. a D-I-Y tour of Acropolis Museum or Nat. Arch. Museum. Next AM at 9, go up on Acropolis, then into ancient Agora, and a walk-by "Photo op" of Temple of Zeus, and see the changing of guards at Syntagma Square.

Keep in mind that the Steves book "Athens and the Peloponnese" has GOOD D-I-Y tour directions for Acropolis, the National Arch. Museum, the Ancient Agora and, sorta, the new Acropolis Museum-- at least, as much as H.S. kids want. You also can download the Acropolis d-i-y to a smartphone.
