While searching for a metro station near the hotel in Athens, I stumbled onto www.greecetravel.com which has a lot of information on Athens and the islands.
We are leaving next week to take a "small boat cruise" with variety cruises. Can't wait!

JerryG, I agree, Matt Barrett's greecetravel website is excellent and one that I use extensively when planning trips to Greece. I've used one of the travel agencies recommended on his site to set up lodgings and transportation, and they were wonderful. Happy travels!

Another good one is http://www.greek-islands.us/. I enjoy his writing style and, from the islands I've seen, I think that he gives a good overview.
