Flights from Paris to Budapest

I am planning a trip the first of May. I'm flying into Paris, and than plan a Budapest, Vienna, Prague...back to Paris. I have been searching flights to Budapest and see very few options. I found one on WIZZ around $20. plus $200 in taxes. Any suggestions?

Are you planning to stay in Paris for a while before you fly to Budapest? You should check with Easyjet. We have had very good luck with EJ and prices are very reasonable. We visited these cities last fall and flew from Atlanta to Budapest with a connection (long layover) in Paris. From Paris we flew Air France to Budapest and used trains to Vienna & Prague--we then took EJ to London for much less than the price that you have mentioned--even though you will need RT tic EJ is worth looking at.

Have you looked at whichbudget.com to see all the discout airlines that fly between the two. Else, you will need to check the legacy carriers and price both one-way and return trips even if you are not planning on taking the return trip. Sometimes the round trip is cheaper than a one-way.

Only other thing is to consider flying to Bratislava or Vienna and then training it to BUD. Bratislava normally has flights from SkyEurope which may be an option. Note that BTS is only 30 or so kilometers from Vienna.

Carolyn,

Where did you look up for that rate?
When I looked on Wizzair web site I didn't see any flights from Paris to Budapest.

When I checked rates on skyscanner.com I noticed that Wizzair flys actually from paris to Budapest.
Going to Wizzair web site from Skyscanner, the rate one way on 05/01 is 39.99EUR including tax($51).If you leave next day is only 19.99EUR
Here is the link, but I don't know if it's going to display:
http://wizzair.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi

The return flight on 05/05 is $48 on Easyjet.

The Wizzair is very interesting. The first time I was searching I came across a great $30 flight. Than a week later I went back and it showed no flights from Paris to Budapest. Than I checked it again and got the $20 plus $200 in taxes.

Know after your suggestions I have revisited the site and it is low price and miminal taxes! Go figure.

Beauvais is the airport Wizzair fly's out of. I am arriving at DeGauelle. Are these two airports in Paris far from each other?

Unfortunately, Beauvais airport is a 70-80- minute bus ride northwest of Paris, while CDG is to the northeast, and there is no direct public transportation link between the two. Buses serving Beauvais airport leave from the Porte Maillot coach parking lot in the very northwest of Paris usually about 3 to 3 1/2 hours before your flight. You can take the Air France bus line 2 from CDG to Porte Maillot metro station (about a 10 minute walk from the coach parking lot), a trip that should take maybe an hour from CDG (providing no traffic tieups). See their schedule at http://tinyurl.com/dyvust...cost is 15 Euro. Then you'll spend another 13 Euro to get from Porte Maillot to Beauvais. Check http://www.aeroportbeauvais.com/bus.php?lang=eng for those departure times. With all that hassle and extra cost, you may want to reconsider the easyjet flight out of Orly, which is on the southern edge of Paris. Just take the RER B-4 train from CDG straight thru Paris to the Anton stop, transfer to the Orlyval people mover train, and there you are! Fare should be about 17 Euro.
