What website or airline do you recommend I use to find a one-way flight from Ljubljana to Paris for 3 (myself, my wife and my 1 year old son). Also, I've heard that it can be cheaper to book a round-trip flight - is this still true? Thanks for your help!

Adria is Slovenia's main airline. I did a quick search on Kayak and looks like a one way flight runs about $220. Another option is to go to Ljubljana's airport website and see which airlines are serviced there and check out each airline's website. Flights out of Slovenia are expensive. So it comes as no surprise that you'd pay $200 for a 2 hour flight. http://www.adria.si/en/home/

A good search engine for intra-European flights is Skyscanner, at http://www.skyscanner.com/ For budget carriers such as Easyjet and Ryanair, the flights are already priced as one-ways, so you do not need to book round trip to save money. For "legacy" carriers like Air France or Lufthansa, it can indeed be cheaper to book a round trip, and throw away the second half. Don't throw away the first part, or the airline will void the rest of the ticket.
