Flight from Prague to Paris

Back in October, we had purchased one-way tickets from Prague to Paris via Smartwings. This enabled us to reach Paris, where we depart to go back to Seattle. Unfortunately, I just received notification that this 6:00 flight was cancelled and we've been rebooked on a different flight the previous day! This won't work with our schedule, but the email informed us we could receive a full refund.

SkyEurope has a similar flight, leaving Prague at 6:40. I was planning on buying this flight instead, but became very concerned when the seat selector map appeared; there were NO seats reserved yet.

Having had the Smartwings flight get cancelled on us, I am also deeply concerned that the same could occur with SkyEurope, especially since it appears no one else has booked on the flight yet.

Thoughts? Should I go ahead and book with SkyEurope? Are they more reliable when it comes to not cancelling their flights?

Thank you for any help!

Jennifer...in this day and age, no one can say for certain whether ANY airline's flight will go as scheduled. You don't say what time of year you're travelling though. As well, were you planning to catch the 6 am flight to Paris, then fly out of CDG later that day for Seattle? To my mind, that's a dangerous step....ANY sort of problem....weather, mechanical, cancellation....and you'll miss your flight home. You may want to consider taking the flight a day earlier (maybe later in the day) and spending the night at a hotel near CDG.

Norm-we are flying at the end of September. If we end up booking the SkyEurope flight, we will fly on the morning of the 29th into Orly, and then we leave 24 hours later out of CDG in order to go back to Seattle. We've been to Paris before, so it will be nice to have a quick trip!

It may be that it's too soon for seat assignments.I know most US airlines wont let you reserve seats until 90 days before your flight.

No seats booked DOES NOT mean no one is booked. Sky Europe is one of those airlines that sells seat assignments. Therefore, a lot of people don't book them ahead of time.
