A friend of mine (and fellow Coloradoan) stayed at a studio apartment outside Thira, www.pensiongeorge.com. She loved it .... pool, friendly owners, a short walk to town, inexpensive.

Karen, I stayed at Hotel Nissos Thira when I was in Santorini, and was very pleased with the room. However, I'd suggest asking for a room at the back as the traffic noise on the front continues well into the evening. I also know someone that stayed at Pension George and they were VERY pleased with the accommodations. You may be able to find Hotel information on Matt Barrett's Greece website. Happy travels!
