Traveling in Sept. from Split to Hvar then Kocula to Dubrovnik. Thinking of spending 3 days on Hvar and 1 day on Korcula. What do you think? Other islands? Also, given the above itinerary - leave Split on 9/11 to Hvar 9/11-9/13, Korcula on 9/14 and on to Dobrovnik on 9/15 can someone explain the Ferry/Catamaran schedule we would need to take to do this? Confusing????

We took that same route a few years ago. The only problem with that itinerary is that the ferry from Hvar to Korcula leaves late in the day and arrives in the evening, the ferry or bus from Korcula to Dubrovnik leaves early morining. The result is you really need two nights in Korcula to see anything. Since the ferry leaves late in the day from Hvar, you have the whole day there. I also suggest taking the bus to Dubrovnik vs the Ferry. just a preference on my part.

I tend to agree with Paul. The bus trip along the coast from Split to Dubrovnik is scenic and relatively fast, and I think the departure times are much more frequent.
