Ferry from Split to Italy

Hi,

I will be traveling from Germany to Croatia then on to Italy. I am trying to find a ferry service that runs from Split to Anacona or Bari. We will be there on April 10-12 and I have not been able to find ferry service as it is off season. Any advise or suggestions also website for booking would be much appreicated. I have noticed that many have suggeted booking early. Should I do that before leaving Canada or because it is off season will it make a differnce in rates ect.
Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions/advise.

Jadrolinija has an overnight ferry from Split to Ancona on April 12 (sailings Sun, Tue and Thu in April). It departs at 21:00 and arrives at 07:00. Check www.jadrolinija.hr for schedule, prices and online booking. Easiest to find information using the search schedule by map option under Sailing Schedules. If you have questions before booking, e-mail their helpline. They respond quickly and are very helpful.

Hi, Perla,

A website we found useful when going to Croatia last year is the Croatiatraveller.com site. On it, there is a link HERE to the ferry page relevant to your travels, and if you click on either the Blue Line Ferries or Jadrolinija links, it'll bring you to a page you can put in your selected dates and get the schedule. I believe the ferry only goes from Split to Ancona, the ferry from Bari goes to Dubrovnik. It also looks like the ferry departs Split at either 20:00 or 21:00 (depending on which company you use) and arrives at 7:00 the next morning.

Having not done it before, I'm not sure whether or not you should try to book the ticket early, but hopefully someone will be along on this post with their experience. Good luck!

PS We were in Nova Scotia/Prince Edward Island last June, and fell in love with the beautiful countryside. Can't wait to go back!

PPS This is the official Jadrolinija website, where it looks like they offer an online booking service.
