We end our tour in Kusadasi, Turkey after breakfast on Sat May 18 and want to get over to Samos for a flight to Crete. We see only 830am ferries....is that to early since we have breakfast and end tour that morning? Are there other times for ferries to Samos? We see 35 euros one-way. Is that for all ferries? thanks

We spent a week on Samos, then went to Kusadasi, and, yes, there was only 1 ferry in that direction, and it's not the usual Greek ferries! It was a very small boat...would probably only hold 15 people max. If you have time to spend on Samos, stay in Kukari...wonderful area. You also might check a website called greektravel.com. Lots of very helpful information about travel in Greece.

In 2012 the ferry schedule & number of trips seemed to vary from month to month and was more frequent in Jun-Jul-Aug. We took the 8:30am ferry to Samos on the morning our tour ended in Oct. A shuttle picked us up at the hotel and delivered us to the ferry dock. The tour bus left at the same time to take other tour members to the airport in Izmir so everyone on the tour departed at the same time. It wasn't a small boat - there were at least 100 people.

Hi Terry. Are flying back to Athens to connect with a flight to Crete or did you locate a direct flight on May 18? I couldn't find one. If you found a direct flight what airline is that?

Hi Lee. Yes we found a flight and booked it, but will wait for the ferry booking...we found BudgetAir.Com Olympic Airlines flight0A755 DEPARTS SAMOS 4:25PM ARRIVES AThens 5:20pm.
Olympic Airlines flight 0A512 DEPARTS AHENS 6:30PM ARRIVES Heraklion 7:25pm. It seems there were several flights but later or longer lay-overs or more expensive so we took this one for 2 adults. Hope you find one!
