From where the cruise ships stop in Delos,is it possible to catch a ferry to Mykonos?

Someone has given you misleading information. Cruise ships debark their passengers at the new port on Mykonos and from there you take a shuttle bus or taxi into Mykonos Town. There is shuttle ferry service from Mykonos Town to Delos. It starts around 10am and goes until 3pm. Delos is closed on Mondays.

Good to know. This is the first I've heard of direct shuttles from ships to Delos.

Some cruise ships anchor off shore and shuttle people directly to Delos from the ship, but I would think that they also would have tenders to Mykonos Town as well if they are not docking in port. Look at a map, Delos is a small uninhabited island not too far from Mykonos, the majority of visitors buy a water taxi ticket from Mykonos, which takes you over, then you catch one of the hourly or so boats for your return.

Thank you to all,for your responses.They were helpful.My ship will be at Delos,for a few hrs,than onto Mykonos.We thought of going across to Mykonos on our own,by local ferry,to get to Mykonos earlier,than our ship would arrive.Just a thought,since we would rather spend more time in Mykonos.Can we do this? Not sure.This is our first cruise. The cruise ship may not allow it,for whatever reason.It was good to find out,we would have to pick-up any shuttle ferry to Mykonos from the town.Thank you for all your help.We are sailing with Oceania.Any advice or suggestions,would be welcomed.We always go on our own,not used to organized tours.Wanted to try a cruise.Wish us luck!! You may have to speak to the Cruise line when you get there. You could probably talk to one of the shuttle boats that run between Delos and Mykonos and negotiate a fee to take you to Mykonos, normally they are only picking up people who already have a ticket...so no ticket booth on Delos. However, if the Cruise ship took you to Delos, they may be expecting you to return on the tender and your "disappearance" may cause an issue. If they are aware of what you are doing, it may not be an issue.
