I've found many options from Venice to Croatia, but not vice versa. Seems those that ran previously do not now. Looking for Sept. 2013 Ideas??
thx
Hi Mary! The Dora runs from Umag on SEP 5,12 or you hop across the border for SAT ferries from Piran. see http://www.sloveniaforyou.com/Ferry.htm
Hi Mary
I've actually been looking for ferries between Venice and Croatia so would be interested in your findings, if you care to share. Thanks
Thanks! After exhaustive research, it's clear there isn't travel in the winter, and nothing is posted until trips resume in April. Enjoy your trip! (Thanks Greg and Frank.) Here are good sites:

Venezia Lines runs hydrofoil service from Rovinj and Porec to Venice 3 times a week from about May through September. In 2008, when I last took it, service ran through the first week of October. I booked online and picked up my ticket in Rovinj. The inexpensive upgrade to VIP class was worth it, as the seating is much more comfortable and less crowded. 2013 hydrofoil schedules aren't yet posted, but that's not unusual. Their website is www.venezialines.com. Atlas Travel also runs a hydrofoil from Porec, but you'd need to confirm whether they sell one-way tickets since they market to day trippers.
