How do we get from Istanbul to Crete. We were thinking of traveling back to Istanbul from Crete then flying back to the USA from Istanbul. We are planning on spending four nights in Istanbul (our second time in Istanbul) then heading to Crete to spend about six nights. Or should be fly or hydrofoil to Athens to fly home. Need advice. Thanks!

How do we get from Istanbul to Crete 1. Fly to Athens for another flight or ferry to Crete.
2. Fly to Bodrum for a ferry to Rhodes and a flight or ferry to Crete. Flying to Athens and on to Crete will be the fastest method. There is no hydrofoil from Crete to Athens. There are flights and car ferries. Buy open jaw tickets: USA>IST>ATH>USA so you aren't wasting valuable time backtracking.
