Would welcome some suggestions on friendly, moderately priced family-run places .. Best routine for booking same .. Travelling in late August 2010 which is NOT ideal for weather and very crowded too, but air res already made !!

This is a late reply to your request. If you still need a family run place in Rovinj in August we have two places available during the months of July, August,and September. We are from the U.S. and bought and renovated these properties, both of which have prime old town locations (I grew up in Bellevue and went to WSU). We have a 4 star apartment (Villa Rustica) that sleeps 4(2 beds),full kitchen, bath, satelite TV, and washing machine. It is in the heart of old town and next to quiet 4 star boutique hotel. 2 minutes to sea, old town market, cafes, and restaurants! The other apartment(Villa Mario)is a studio with bath, small kitchen, satelite TV, and also in the old town.
