My son arrived in Athens today. There were thousands demonstrating there yesterday - metro, rail, and port affected. As a traveler, has anyone had any experience in Greece during one of these now-frequent events? Any words of wisdom?
His plans were to visit two islands, then back to Athens, visit Mt. Olympus, then fly out of Thessaloniki (also had demonstrations yesterday).
