Euro, US$ in Turkey

Travelling to Istanbul in September. How readily acceptable is the euro? US dollars? (My vacation rental is in euro with a US cash deposit)

You'll find places in Istanbul that will accept euros or US dollars, but you'll get an inflated exchange rate. Much better for you to obtain Turkish lira at local ATM's - which are ubiquitous - and pay with the local currency.
