We are going to Turkey in Apr and will be staying in Izmir for 3 days. I would like to visit Ephesus and st Marys house as well as Pergamum and Asklepion. The average price of tours is around 65$ per person per tour. 1. Can someone recommend a cheaper tour company?
2. or a way to do it yourself. I researched to see if we can go on our own but it seems really confusing!! Thank you all !!

you don't need a tour company to see efes. just take a bus to selcuk and from there you can take a domus it's very close.

Hi Sarah, Efes is easy, take the bus, buy a guidebook at the entry and enjoy. You can also find a guide at the entry. The smartest thing we did was to bring umbrellas to shield the sun. It was brutal. You may need to hire a taxi to get Mary's house from Efes. Jeff

Hello, this is Gokhan from izmir - :) izmir is a nice and easy city. You can go Selcuk by bus from bus stat?on and take tax? in selcuk
you can enter inside easly alone and discover inside with radios. iyi yolculuklar :)

Thank you all ! Anything about Pergamum ?? I am trying to figure out how to do it on my own. There is no bus schedule for Izmir to Bergama and other things like address for each of the sites.

pergamum is not very easy to from izmir. it requires at least 2 bus changes.
