We will be flying for the first time with Easy Jet in July from Athens to London Heathrow and I would like to get the opinion of readers as to this company?

I am pretty sure Easyjet does not fly to Heathrow. Perhaps you are flying to Luton or Gatwick ? I have flown with several budget airlines in Europe- Much the same.. Similar to Southwest here in the States. Read and follow the the rules. No late check in etc.

I have flown Easy Jet from Athens to London's Luton airport and it was fine. I would say it's comparable to Southwest--except you have to buy your own snacks and water on the flight. Hey...they're cheap. Really, really cheap! Not to mention their no fatalities record (my partner is obsessed with that information). Have fun!

John's right....easyjet does not fly into Heathrow. Hopefully you don't have a connection to make there :) In any event, I've flown easyjet too...several times...and they're a good basic discount airline. They fly newer planes, which is nice, but as others have noted, their baggage policies are getting extremely restrictive, so beware extra charges.

Thanks, you were right. I checked and it is London Gatwick that we are flying into. We will be flying out of Heathrow to return to the US. Thanks for the words of wisdom and the assurance that it is a safe company to fly with.
