Easy Cruise of the Greek Islands

Hi All,
I have been able to scout out a few teriffic posts about using Easy Cruise to explore the Greek Islands. Thank you Heather. I would like to learn more from those who have already been there/done that. I am a 68 year old independant female traveler. And am able to sleep on a mattress on the floor. I plan to go in June of '08, Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Fran

Fran - I have been on easycruise twice the last being a 7 night cruise in Greece in September. It is really a great way to visit the Islands I would highly recommend it. We are booked again in September for 10 nights. The cabins are very clean as is the ship. Just think of it as a mini cruise ship! I am happy to answer any questions that you might have. There were many passengers in your age group on board the ship.

We are booked for an easycruise 7 night Turkey/Greek Island trip next September. For $558.75(USD)we get an inside cabin with bathroom, breakfast and either lunch OR dinner everyday.(We paid the optional $105 per person for the food package). We will visit Syros; Kalymnos;Bodrum, Turkey; Kos; Samos; Mykonos; and Paros, always staying in each port until at least midnight. One thing I never liked about traditional cruise ships was leaving so early. On easycruise we get to enjoy dinners and sunsets on each island.I also like not having to pay for so many things I don't need on cruise ships, like midnight buffets. This is so much more convenient than a ferry and the price is fabulous.

Norma, loved the review! Thanks for the link. I agree that this seems to be a great, hassle-free, economical way to experience the Greek Islands. And I won't gain weight like on other cruises.

I am also booked on Easy Cruise for 7 days visiting several Greek Islands and Bodrum, Turkey from May 31 to June 7,
I have read the earlier posts and I am ready for a great adventure! Since this Easy Cruise doesn't stop at Crete or Santorini I'm doing them on my own, taking ferries as needed. Just thinking about this trip is keeping me on my diet...
Anyone else out there have Easy Cruise experiences to share? Where is the best place to exchange US dollars for Euros for Greece? Do I really need to?
Can anyone out there recommend a great place to stay in Santorini for approx 75 Euros/night?

Hi Fran....I don't know Greece but It is very cheap and efficient to exchange currency in Turkey. I guess, you could do it in Bodrum. We have booked the same trip but beginning in June 9. I want to see Santorini as well but I could not figure out a good way of doing it. What is your plan? It may help me as well. Did you find a good and cheap way of doing it?

Thanks and safe trip. Ricky.
