Eastern Europe Budget Beds

I will be spending some time in Krakow, Budapest, Vienna and Prague. Does anyone have any suggestion for good budget options in these cities? I'm trying to keep my accomodations less than $50 a day.

In Prague: JuniorHotel on Senovazne namesti -- it's half hostel / half hotel. Hostel prices run approximately U.S. $20, with a terrific buffet breakfast (meat, cheese, cereals, bread, coffee, etc.). Excellent central location, a 10-minute-at-most walk from Vaclavske namesti. Clean. Rooms with 2 beds are available, and it's possible for one person to book it.

I was just in a hostel in Prague, "Chilli´s" http://www.pragueholiday.cz/chilli-hostel-prague.php

There were a fair amount of people over the traditional teen/ early 20s hostel travel scene (and a fair amount of that age as well). I believe the cheapest room is equal to 10 euro a night with private rooms as well. Its clean and safe with lockers and free breakfast walking distance from everything.

I agree with booking a hostel. My wife and I have stayed in 13 of them in the past 7 years. Most have private rooms now and some have in suite baths.

Hi
We just returned from Budapest and the place we stayed was apx 50 us a night. It was a studio apartment but it was very very clean. It is small but has a kitchen and bathroom. The woman that owns it is fantastic. She was so nice as to have a map for us and help us with info how to get different places on the public transportation which is very easy there. Her website is http://www.melindaaparment-budapest.com.
The location is also great because it is 3 minutes from Parliment and the metros, trams and buses.
