Dubrovnik weather end of May

Well, the real question is whether the weather will be warm enough to spend a day at a beach. We'll be there May 27 - 30. If it's not beach weather, we'll plan a day trip.

Last year I was in Dubrovnik at the end of May and I went swimming. The water was cold but tolerable. I'm guessing that the water was around 16-17 Centigrade (about 62 - 64 Farenheit).

I think it is all relative. The guy at the hotel thought people were crazy to be swimming in the cold water but there were plenty of Scandinavians on the beach enjoying the water.

I was there at the end of May (approximately 3rd week of May) last year and the weather was great. Warm enough to lay out on the beach, wear tshirts and tank tops by day when shopping in town, go kayaking, visit nearby islands and get a tan! Weather was too cold for full swim but refreshing to wade in. Was there 5 days......all were sunny/blue skies except a rain storm one night....but by morning, no sign of it.
