We will be in Dubrovnik for one day. Can anyone suggest a local guide to help us discover Dubrovnik and perhaps Mostar and/or Cavtat? Thank you.

Nancy, are you going on a cruise? If so, I would rule out Mostar as it is about 2.5 to 3 hours away. Cavtat would be doable, but with only one day, I would concentrate on Dubrovnik itself. If you want a little island fun, take the ferry to Lokrum which is only about 10 minutes from the harbor. I'm sorry that I don't know any local guides (but in my opinion Dubrovnik is easily done on your own). I'm sure that the TI could set one up for you when you arrive.

I would highly recommend Petar. He was our driver for the day when we stayed in Dubrovnik in September of 2009. He was professional, knowledgable and friendly. We had arranged for Petar to take us to the wineries in the area, but he managed many other fun little stops along the way.
