I'm leaving for Europe this Saturday and have been trying to find a decent town map of Dubrovnik online. Usually I just copy the one in Rick Steves' book but it's on two pages and impossible to copy without damaging the book. My Fodor's map is the same, on two pages. I've been all over the internet and can't find a good map. Can anyone help?

The maps available at the TI, your Hotel, or from tour companies will be better than what you find in the RS or Fodors books. Just wait until you get there.

Agree with previous poster. Wait until you get to beautiful Dubrovnik to get a map ....they are easily obtained. The old town is truly a great sight and one can easily explore it without a map. We spent 6 days in the town, stayed in a great wee apartment within the old town walls, and had no problem finding our way around. It is small BUT packed with a lot of history. Be sure to do the walk around the old town walls - the views from the walls to the sea and into the old town are like no others we have seen in all our travels.

Gee thanks. I know all about maps at the T.I.s I just like to have something in hand before I get there so I can find my way there. I don't know why people answer questions when they don't know the answer. I did find one in case anyone else out there likes to prepare for their travels in advance. I've been doing this for 27 years now and it's worth all the planning.

It seems to me that your question was answered perfectly. Having been to Dubrovnik many times, I find the responses provided were right on the mark. One would think a savvy traveller as yourself could find your way around such a small town as Dubrovnik without having a map ahead of time. Happy Travels!
