Instead of dropping our Croatian rental car off in Zagreb and taking a bus to Budapest,
we're making the drop in Porec--closest town with agencies-- to catch a cheap flight from Trieste.
Hertz opens at 8, and two blocks away, there's a 10:00 a.m. ferry from Porec to Trieste, making the whole plan seem doable!
Well, a quick read through Rick's guidebook has put the kibosh on the plan of getting there the night before
to be ready for the logistically challenging morning.
He basically says that you're a loser if you decide to spend the night in Porec =(
So finally to the crux of this inquiry...
Has anyone driven the 30 or so miles--only half of it highway--from quaint, little Rovinj, into bustling Porec for rush hour?
Is it a piece of cake to do in under an hour?
