We are driving from Italy (where we are visiting the N Western coast) to Duv where we are spending a couple of nights and then back to Split where we are staying another week. On the trip down from the Italian Border what would be the fastest driving route?

In case no one else pipes in with personal advice, use Viamichelin.com where you can play with your route, see any toll charges or accidents, and an estimated cost of gasoline.

Agree with the advice about checking Michelin. Haven't done the drive from Italy, but we drove from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, one way, mostly on the "fast" highway, and agreed that next time we would take a plane or a boat or anything but a car. It's a long, not especially scenic drive...
