Doing Est. Med cruise (Italy, Greece, Turkey) FOOD??

We are big foodies and LOVE local stuff and less touristy and busy spots. Basic to gourmet is fine, just good. Will be mostly brunch or lunch since we only have a short day in each port. Suggestions? Local fresh food would be awesome!

Maybe you could list the actual ports your cruise will visit. In the meantime, if you take your question to cruisecritic.com where lots of cruisers hang out, you may get more answers.

On Santorini take a taxi to Amoudi Bay down below Oia for lunch in a fish taverna right on the water. My fave is "Katina's".

Marcia Assuming you are going to the Acropolis on your trip to Athens I would recommend the Byzantino for lunch. It's in Plaka, the pedestrian area under the Acropolis, and is about five minutes walk from the new Acropolis museum. It doesn't have an Acropolis view but it fits your bill of good food and a place frequented by locals. Our write up of it is here http://www.greekramblings.org.uk/Plaka%20Monistiraki%20Restaurants.html Cheers Alan
