do i have enough money

my girlfriend and i are leaving next sunday for just over 3 weeks to backback europe....all of our air fare is paid for and we each have a eurail pass. we plan to stay in hostels the whole time, except for a hotel when we first arrive in paris, the USD is weak right now , for an example 4000 dollars = 2900 euro's ! so, my question is how much should we bring to cover our whole trip , eating cheap and limiting tourist attractions and museums. and whats the best way to carry currency, atm? or just exchange cash?? ..please fill me in on any advice...thanks!

For 2 people bring a minimum of 100 euro/day. ATMs are the way to go.

ATM's for sure.

I would suggest you also use small travel combination locks on all openings of your luggage and back packs. And consider purchasing a small cable lock to lock luggage to something secure while on trains and in hostels.

Enjoy your trip!

Yours is an exciting adventure. No question that ATMs are the best/only way to go. Be sure to alert your bank/cc companies of your travel plans so that they don't lock up your funds.

You have enough money for eating and sleeping. Your challenge will be advissions which are not inexpensive and are, after all, the reason you are traveling. These are specific to exactly where you are traveling. Some are free but most are not. You should be able to get some idea from the RS guides.

Have a geat trip.
