We are spending a few days in Hyrda in July. Hotel told us that Leonidas (so highly recommeded) is closed. Anyone else heard this? If so, other suggestions?

Yes Leonidas is closed. We were on Hydra in April and unfortunately we did not find any restaurants that I recom. we tried 4 and all were just ordinary.
However if you go to Athens I highly recom Mani Mani Restaurant. Excellent and reasonable. It is in RS guidebk.
