How available is diesel in Austria, Hungary, Czech and Germany? Is it less expensive than regular gasoline?

Diesel is widely available and almost always cheaper than petrol, although still more expensive than in the US.

We were just in Germany, Austria and Czech - no problem getting diesel in Germany and Austria but we didn't have to fill up in Czech so I can't answer that. Diesel was cheaper than the regular gas, but still expensive. Filling up our tank cost about US$150.00 each time (we had a Mercedes SUV, I am not sure of the tank size).
