May I have suggestions as how to get from the docked cruise ship area to the archaeological site and museum? Are the two close to each other? Will there be guides for hire at the site? Our time will be limited. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am not sure where the ships dock for Delphi. From Delphi (it is on a mountain slope) you could see the coast some distance away, so I would guess about an hour to two by bus, chances are, if it is a popular cruise stop, there will be private coaches offering tranport as well as tours. If not, seems like there were private guides offering their service a nearly every major site in Greece.
