I have a question: Has anyone been to the Warsaw Zoo? Is it nice? I read the book "the Zookeeper's Wife and would like to visit the Zoo and see the house that was in the book.
How far is Krakow from Warsaw? I will be spending a week in Poland. I will get the Rick Steves book but would like traveler's experiences on both places and what other places that are a must to see.

Hi, In the summer of 2001 I took that ride from Warsaw to Krakow...takes almost 3 hours, arrived at lunch time. It was a direct connection from one main station to the other. After Krakow it was another 10 hrs. direct back to Berlin. I was after historical sites in Warsaw and Krakow. In both cities I saw the memorial to Katyn (Forest)...very poignant. Both are great walking towns.
