We will be arriving in Ankara at 10:30 PM, will rent a car for the next day's trip to Hattusas. Where is the closest decent hotel near the Ankara airport? And will it be safe driving there from the airport at night? Horrible reviews for Buyuk Anadolu, Esenboga Airport hotel only a bit better, but they don't answer any of my emails for reservations; can I trust travelocity or ? booking site? This will be for June.

Quite a few years ago now we stayed for one night at the Ogulturk Hotel in Ankara. You can have a look at www.ogulturk.com. My notes say we had a lavish breakfast, which I have no memory of but if I wrote that it must be true, and I do remember that it was a modern and quite new place.
