Day trips in Prague, Vienna, & Budapest

I'm soooo excited! We leave in one week. We are in Prague for 4 days and plan on visiting Olomouc on a day trip. In Budapest we plan to visit Eger for the day. Any day trips from Vienna that are recommended? I would really like to see some nature and do some light hiking. any Alp foothill towns? Any "must sees" for the other day trips?

I did a day trip to the Wachau Valley and went with a tour group. We biked from Durnstein to Spitz stopping off at wineries along the way. Then we took the boat back to Durnstein and hung around there for awhile. The valley is beautiful! I have heard that Melk and Krems are just as nice.

Well....We are flying into prague on 6/21 and stay for 4 nights. Hopefully a day trip to Olomouc during the prague stay and then on to Cesky Krumlov where we stay for 2 nights. Next is 3 nights in Vienna and may visit the Wachau valley or stop in Bratslavia on our way to Budapest for 4 nights- day tripping into Eger (Hungarian Wine Country). Do you think we should stop in Bratslavia? It doesn't sound like RS thinks too highly of it.

I have never been there so I can't give my personal opinion, but I have talked to alot of travelers that have been. THe ones that loved it seemed to be younger people who go there to enjoy the clubs. Ones that go there to enjoy museums, old buildings etc... said that they were disappointed. I was on the fence about going there so I asked lots of questions to numerous people. No one that I talked to came back disappointed in the Wachau Valley area.

I noticed that you like nature and light hiking and the valley area is beautiful and I was told that there are a few trails there.
