I will be traveling to Bodrum in early September 2012. I would like to do day trips from there to Ephesus and Pammukale, but am not interested in renting a car. Can anyone recommend reputable tour companies that offer these trips? I would rather do a group outing that a private tour.

it's not a short ride from bodrum to selcuk or pamukkale, and both places deserves more time than bodrum in my opinion. so you really should have at least an over night in each of the place. if you want to do day trips from bodrum there are plenty little fishing villages or small towns along the coast you can ride commuter bus to, better beach, very relaxing areas. over night in selcuk gives you oppty to see efes and a few other cool sites, and pamukkale is open 24 hrs so you could hike up and then walk down in the evening. the lights reflects well so it's like a nigh ski except you'll be walking down bear feet. and a swim in the ancient pool is great after a day of walking the ruins.

I just came back from Turkey today. I stayed in Bodrum for 4 days. I just loved the sun, beach, and boats. Our hotel was a small and a great hideaway in the city. Perfect location and I loved the privacy. Check out the Asmin. The staff are amazing. www.asminhotel.com/ We took the bus from Bodrum to Ephesus. The bus ride is 3 hours so we went up a day prior to spend the night in Selcek. The tour started at 9 am and ended at 4ish. I rode the 7:30 pm bus back to Bodrum once the tour finished. Most hotels or travel agents can assist you with booking a tour. Enjoy!
