Day Trip from Istanbul to Gallipoli

I'll will be spending 9 nights and 8 days in Istanbul towards the latter part of May and first week of June. I noticed that Backpacker's Travel offers an organized day trip tour to Gallipoli (80 Euro). Does anyone have experience with Backpacker's Travel, or in taking a day trip to Gallipoli from Istanbul? Did you feel rushed, was it worth the long travel day? Based upon what I've read, it seems like you have only 5 hours to tour the battlefields if you visit Gallipoli in a day. Thanks.

I once took the long busride from Istanbul to Canakkale, which is close to Gallipoli, and I can't imagine having to return to Istanbul that same day. It would be exhausting.
