I thought I had heard there were day tours from Athens to Eqypt to visit the pyramids. Does anyone know if this is so?

To me it makes no sense to go to Egypt for one day, but if that's what you're thinking of doing........
I don't know about an organized tour, but it would obviously require a RT flight. Why not check to see what fares you can find from Athens to Cairo and take the earliest flight, then book a guide who will pick you up at the airport, take you to the Pyramids and then return you to the airport for the flight back to Athens? Check with EgyptAir and Aegean Airlines.
