Daphne hotel versus Sultan hill hotel

Going in the fall and these two hotel names came up. Daphne offers airport shuttle. Most people seem to recommend the sultan hill hotel. Zoo hotel and empress hotel are mentioned less frequently. Taking location and accommodations overall, and of course value for the price, give me your choice Would like everyone's input. Thank you

The one time we were in Istanbul we stayed at the Empress Zoe and loved it. Very exotic.

We don't have anything to compare it to but we spent 7 nights at Hotel Sultan Hill. The location is excellent, right behind the Blue Mosque and a short walk to the public transportation. The staff is very nice and I think that they will gladly arrange transportation from the airport. It's moderately-priced, the breakfast is good, and the rooms are clean and secure. To us, it was a great value for the price!

The reception staff at the Sultan Hill arranged a van transfer for us back to the airport. Can't remember the price but I do remember that it seemed very reasonable. The Daphne gets good reviews on Tripadvisor!

Many of the hotels will offer free pick-up at the airport if you are staying a minimum of 3 nights. If your hotel does not offer this on their website be sure to ask as they are very competative. Your return to the airport is usually not included but the hotels have taxis
or other transportation available at a reasonable cost.

We stayed at the Hotel Sultan Hill after returning to Istanbul after a 14 day RS Turkey Tour. We found it in the RS Istanbul Guide Book. The book mentioned a discount if mentioning the book when making reservations, which we did and found the place great. They did ask to see our guide book when we checked in. I would stay there again whenever I return to Istanbul.

The Daphne indicates their deluxe rooms have a view of the water. Just wondering if it is worth the extra money. 80E at the Sultan versus 110E at the Daphne.?? Yes, the Sultan just emailed me and said if one mentions the RS book they give a 15% discount.
