We will be in Budapest in June. Which is better? More Authentic?? (wanted Hungarian state folk concert, but not playing while we are there)

When are you going to be there? I haven't heard either group. I do know that they generally play in the Duna Palota or the Budai Vigadó which is pure tourist in nature. Sort of like going to the Hungarian Theater at the World's Fair. Having said that, so much of what is Budapest is about the music, so if it interests you go and have a blast. Some other things you might enjoy might be: A. Classical at one of the churches or at the Opera House or the Palace of Arts; B. Broadway style musicals (very excellent) at the Budapest Operett theater; C. Opera and Ballet at the Opera House or the Palace of Arts; D. Klezmer if the Budapest Klezmer Band is Playing in town or if the Wedding Dance is playing at the Operett theater OR, if you are going to be in town Firday night at Spinozza's. Klezmer is as much a part of the culture in this part of Europe as is the folk music you are asking about. E.
