Hi we had planned to bike Passau to Krems with friends in may but alas bad knee is preventing biking. So if we went along anyway could we get from town to town by train or ferry or do we need a car ? Any suggestions welcomed ! Thx lauriev

From which town to which town? When speaking in general about rail service in Austria, it's pretty good, although obviously not every town along the Danube is connected to rail network. Would suggest to check rail map of Austria and see yourself which destinations can be reached by train
