My wife and I want to do the night train from Krakow to Prague to save some money, however I am not sure where to book the tickets. I looked at rail europe and the cost is 450 (only 150 less than flights) while a site called czech-transport has it at 175 which is way less. Does anyone know if this is a respectable site, or is there another site that has similar prices that is worth a look? Thanks
google found this, so give it a shot (just make sure when you are putting in your CC info that the site is secure) http://booking.polrail.com/
I'm also taking the night train from n to the exact locations. Polrail was excellent!. At first I had trouble with their site and emailed Jeff. He emailed me back within several hours. Once finished, I got another email from Polrail the next day, telling me where and how to pick up my tickets. Great customer services!
Hi thanks to both of you. I gave the site a look, while it works and everything the price keeps showing up as 0PLN and won't let me book. Did you have trouble with that?
Their FAQs do say that the prices will be shown in (PLN) zloty, so that's not any issue (you can use the converter on the website). I'm not sure why it's not letting you book though (although I wouldn't be surprised if some field was filled incorrectly (like mixing up month and day - they write it in reverse in Europe)....or your credit card may have super sensitive fraud alert that needs to be lifted my calling them. Or you can e-mail the website for help.
I bet your travel date is too far off to get a quote.
I tried multiple travel dates, it is still saying it cost 0 pln and won't let me book. I emailed last night still waiting on a reply. Hoping it is just an error with the site.
Nevermind, just got the email and figured out the problem and now I feel dumb. I thought I had to enter the number of male or female passengers not the age. Teach me not to skim when reading.
The price at polrail is 90 dollars more than at czech-transport. While I know polrail is secure and respected from people on here does anyone know if czech-transport is, that is a pretty nice savings.
