Somewhere I read that there is a place for exchanging dollars that is cheaper than most places. Anyone know about that? Thanks, Linda

Just to elaborate on Nicholas' point, don't go to currency exchanges. You'll always get ripped off. To get local currency, use your good old American debit card at ATM's. That will ALWAYS be the best deal. You'll find ATM's all over Istanbul.

I haven't heard of a special place to exchange dollars. I too use the ATM's as they are the most convenient. You will find one prior to exiting the
airport so you will have Turkish lira to pay the taxi.
