cruises where you can get on the ship at one port, then off at another

We're living in Prague for another year and I'm plotting our travels. Does anyone know of any cruise lines that offer the option of starting the cruise at one location and disembarking at another, rather than having to do a loop? Hope I'm describing this accurately. Any guidance would be appreciated. Terry

Are you thinking of a sea or river cruise? For sea cruises, as an example, some of my family members are taking one in Sept with Princess line that starts in Barcelona and ends in Venice with stops in France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, etc. The ship then leaves Venice, on a separate cruise, and does the reverse route. But there are many more options between other cities in Europe or even repositioning cruises either way across the Atlantic.
For river cruises in Europe, there are also lots of options. We are considering doing one of these next Spring so have checked out a few. I asked a question re these on Rick's site titled "Central European river cruise" and got a number of responses. You can still access the responses thru Rick's advanced search on this site. Happy travels.

There are often "repositioning cruises" that start in one spot, and end in another. For instance, some of my family is going on one that starts in Barcelona and ends in London. Another segment of the family is doing one that starts in Lisbon and ends in Nice. They are definitely out there, you just have to dig a little- usually they depart in the shoulder seasons. Most every line has them.

Either MSC or Costa, can't exactly remember which, will allow you to change your embarkation port, ie Marseille for Genoa, etc..

A number of online travel agencies are easy to search for cruises. Two I use regularly are http://www.cruisesonly.com/ and http://www.vacationstogo.com/. You may need to register with the websites to see prices and you can frequently beat their advertised prices by phoning them. You might consider a repositioning cruise from Europe to North America for your return home. River cruises on the Elbe, Danube, Rhine, and more are also available.

Without doing an actually count, the major of European cruises are more linear than circular. Just check the various web sites. We are on a Holland American last year that started in Stockholm and ended in Istanbul. We got on in Rotterdam and off in Athens. Reposition cruises mentioned above only occur twice a year When ships from Europe to the US

Hello. We are taking a Tauck cruise tour. It starts in Athens and ends in Istanbul. It is part cruise (7 days) and part land (7 days). Elaine
