Croatia in September vs June

My husband and I are trying to decide whether to go to Croatia in June or September. We were wondering if there was a better time in terms of weather, price, smaller crowds and how green the country is. Also, I heard the trains in Croatia have a bad habit of being derailed. Is this true, or are they safe? Thanks for your help.

Crowds are about the same. The sea is warmer in September. It's also slightly less hot than in June. Countryside is greener in June. I did not hear about derailing trains but in any case they are much safer than cars. Price about the same.
