Croatia in August

My fiancé and I will be taking our honeymoon in Croatia next August. I know that this is the worst time of year to be traveling there, with the heat and the crowds, but unfortunately this is the only time we will be able to go. But I wanted to hear from people who have traveled to Croatia in August. Is it really as miserable as I've read? Thanks for your thoughts!

A friend and I just spent 6 nights in Croatia and loved it. It's hot, but the sea is wonderful and the nights comfortable. Just make sure the rooms you rent are air conditioned. Unless you are extremely sensitive to the heat, you should be fine. Have fun!
