We will be taking the train to Zagreb and plan to stay a day or two in Croatia. We're pretty certain that Zadar, Split and Dubrovnik are out of the question with the time we have. Other than Zagreb can you recommend anything else in that area? We thought possibly, Rijeka and then head up to Ljublijana from there as that is our next stop. Thughts? Suggestions?

Hi Christina! I highly suggest that you take a look at Mirogoj Cemetery. It is not far from the main city of Zagreb. We took the tram and were there from our hostel in about 15-20 minutes. It is a gorgeous cemetery with a lot of beautiful headstones and lots of character. I am very much in to history so seeing Mirogoj was a plus! Have fun on your trip! Amanda

Varazdin is about an hour away by train and would make a nice day trip
