We will be in Corfu and Myknonos later this month. We will arrive on a cruise line and, unfortunately, we don't have much time in either place, about six hours in Corfu, about 8 hours in Mykonos. Any suggestions on what do to do and where to go given that we have just a limited time. We'd like to do this on our own, so we probably won't go with a tour.

In Mykonos try to go to the island of Delos. Supposed to be the birthplace of the greek gods. Lots of ruins and beautiful scenery. Then go to the wind mills and have an ouzo at one of the cafes on the waterfront. In Corfu we went to Paleokastaista, Lakones, Makrades, and Acharavi. Very pretty scenery. There is also a fortress in Corfu and quit a bit to see just walking about the town. Ship excursions are more expensive than private ones. But if you are on a ship excursion, they will wait for you if there is a delay getting back to the ship. You might post a question on the cruise critic site since it is just for cruises. TC
