So, if you had 7 days, mainly staying (for free) in Trogir, would you go see Hvar? korcula? Dubrovnik? I so appreciate any input and love this website! kathy

Seven days in Trogir! You are so lucky. Dubrovnik is a bit too far for a day trip, but you can certainly arrange trips to the islands. Another suggestion is a day trip to Split. Although Rick Steves suggests staying in Split and is very unenthusiastic about Trogir, I thought Split's historic area could be seen easily in one day, and Trogir was a more pleasant place to use as "home base." For a complete change of pace, Krka National Park is an easy day trip and provides pretty scenery. Enjoy!

I agree on all Anita says but I'd knock off for 2 days and go to Dubrovnik and pay---it's cheap and very nice!
