I am flying from Glasgow to Budapest terminal 1. Where should i change my money, Glasgow airport, Budapest airport or elsewhere?

There are always ATM's in the airports. Best way to get money while on vacation.

Janice, In case you have Euro in your possession, they are accepted in the tourist areas in Budapest.

Well, ATM are usually the best way. If you have left over Pounds, exchange them at a bank in Hungary, not at those cash desks in the airport as they generally have terrible rates.

I'm not sure I would convert pounds to forints; rather, I'd just get forints from an ATM machine. The Forint is drastically lower in price than the Euro, dollar, or pound sterling, and the Hungarian economy is struggling. Hungary's the only country using the Forint. When I got back to Vienna from Budapest about two weeks ago, I converted my Forint currency to Euros, based on the assumption that by the time I return to Hungary, either the Forint will be much lower in value OR Hungary's currency will be the Euro!

Don't bother converting your pounds. Just wait til you get to Budapest, and get forints from an ATM there. Bring some pounds along with you just in case, but don't convert them unless you have to.
